Sayaka (meaning "clear") Baby Skin & Scalp Serum is a gentle, fragrance-free formula designed for little ones with cradle cap / infant seb derm.
Cradle cap is a form of infant seborrheic dermatitis (seb derm) linked to an overgrowth of Malassezia yeast. Whilst commonly used oils like coconut oil and sweet almond oil are moisturising, they contain fatty acids in the C11-C24 range that this yeast feeds on, potentially fuelling ongoing flakes and irritation.
This serum is formulated using ingredients that fall outside of the Malassezia feeding range – allowing it to soothe your baby's delicate skin & scalp without feeding the yeast. No coconut oil. No essential oils. No fragrances.
Suitable for use on the scalp, eyebrows, ears, forehead and other areas affected by infant seb derm.
DIRECTIONS: Apply a few drops to affected areas and gently massage in. Leave on and allow the serum to absorb into the skin. Use daily or as needed. Always patch test before first use.

It's a form of infant seborrheic dermatitis, linked to an overgrowth of a naturally occurring yeast called Malassezia. It comes down to carbon chain length. Malassezia feeds on fatty acids in the C11–C24 range, and most oils – including coconut and sweet almond – sit right in it.
